Kirju koer

There are days when you want something sweet, but you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. This is exactly the idea behind this super easy and quick recipe, which is perfect for a weekend treat or an unexpected visit. The best thing about this recipe is that the result is sure to please children too - the spotted dog is playful, colorful, and quite nostalgic. All you need to make this treat is a handful of ingredients and a little time in the fridge. And if you're short on patience (like me), you can enjoy it in no time at all with a little trick.

You need:

  • Selga cookies (I prefer dark ones, but you can also use light ones for color) 180g (1 pack)
  • 150g of marmalade (My favorites are Marmitoni Hapu marmalade - good sour, small pieces that don't need to be cut and the whole pack is exactly what you need).
  • Dried cranberries, optional 40g (gives a nice tartness)
  • Kondenspiima 80g
  • Dark chocolate (54-56% cocoa content) 60g
  • Butter 75g
  1. Melt the butter with the chocolate, for example in a saucepan or in the microwave, and leave to cool.
  2. Break the cookies into smaller pieces between your hands (do not crush them completely), add the marmalade (cut the pieces smaller if necessary).
  3. Add condensed milk and dried cranberries.
  4. Pour over the melted butter-chocolate mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture onto cling film and roll the colorful dog into an evenly tight roll using the cling film.
  6. Keep the roll in the refrigerator until it hardens, and then cut the polka dot into slices of suitable size.

A little tip for the impatient - keep the roll in the freezer for 15-20 minutes, so you can start making the dessert faster.
